Oh man, Halloween is on a Sunday this year and it's a dilemma we haven't faced since 2004.
So now for the BIG QUESTION...
Do you go trick or treating on Saturday the 30th or Sunday the 31st?
Whether you take your kids trick or treating, stay home and pass out candy or turn out the lights and pretend you're not home at all. The one question on everyone's mind is, which day will it be?
There are those who proclaim Saturday is the only time to Trick or Treat. They feel it is wrong to celebrate "secular" Halloween on the Sabbath. Others opt for Saturday because they don't want their children up late, eating candy on a school night.
On the other side of the debate are plenty of folks who say that the 31st falls on a Sunday, so be it! For them there is no room for argument. It is, when it is and they don't want anyone toying with the calendar.
Some neighborhoods will decide which day is best for their community, so check with your Homeowners Association if you have one. For those of you who don't, it's a toss up. No matter what you decide. This is one of those years where you may find yourself with goblins, ghouls and witches upon your doorstep twice in one weekend.
Yep. The buzz going around is that the kids have caught on to Great Halloween Day Debate! We have it on good authority that some children (okay, mostly teens) plan to do double duty this year. They are getting ready for an epic score! Be prepared. Be scared. But don't say you weren't warned.
Make sure to send us pic's of your costume this year!
